When RKlauncher goes over video rendering, it "hides" it with a shadow.

??WHY THIS THREAD SO??

Probably because it doesn't append on Mac OSX :)

Okay guys...it doesn't append because Apple uses an opengl unified engine...
Okay...Windows has dozen of API and is a compilation of crappy coded softwares...

But, RKLauncher is very well coded ^^ (it doesn't eat billions of RAM and doesn't slow down with time :P )

raduking, can you planifieda such bug fix for RKLauncher 4.0? :P
I know it will not be easy ^^

Very good work bud :P

No bugfixes possible, it's due to the nature of how the desktop is composed + the videodriver.

AppleCrow, are you the main Windows developer or how do you know that it has crappy code?

Hm, I lost you after "goes over video rendering". Can you rephrase is? How about providing an English translation?

The fact that Windows GDI and parts of DirectX are crap, compared to what other operating systems (especially OS X) have to offer, should be common knowledge :)

GDI is like 10+ years old with very few core improvements (and a lot of patchwork) since it was created.

The font rendering alone is horrible in Windows. Clear type helps a bit, but even with clear type, the output quality is lightyears behind the quality of font rendering in OS X.

All these things are no secrets. Even MS knows it. They don't develop Avalon, because they are bored and have no other things to do...

The age of a code has nothing to do with crappiness... It should be common knowledge.

it's called buisness strategy. like hackers, they want to make as much money as possible. so target who? the billion populated windows or the 250 million mac users?

Plus I think it would be safe to assume that a large majority of mac users don't buy them for games.

Only because the Mac market is much smaller.
If the Mac was more common, then the prices surely would decrease methinks.
