Reasons to not switch over...

1 - No drag and drop Trash docklet
2 - Doesn't work with panther-like switcher
3 - Task Docklet for Yz doesn't work on it
4 - Exclusions are unpredictable and messy
5 - No command line support, i.e. can use switches
6 - Can't get KkMenu to work on it.

It's still a beta, I understand, but RKLauncher doesn't have nearly as much functionality to compete.

you are the only one, appart from the developer of yzdock (cannot remember his name) that actually developed the app based on request and feedback from the users themselves. Thats gold.

Keep it up_ you are doing very good.
respect.

RKLauncher is better than OD.
It just need some OD features to make it the best dock, like ;
- right click on icon for it's contextual popupmenu that most importantly consist of list of that app open windows /running instance, for easy switching.
- Drag and Drop!!

Just don't go where OD+ go, it's bloated.

Mr. Yamaguchi (hence the "y" in all the apps), lets hope Raduking doesn't meet the same fate.

When installing new releases of RK, can we just extract over the same directory, or do you suggest a clean sweep/clean install?

i was using yz dock and od back and forth for awhile.. the only reason i keep using od+ over yz was the flyout menu

but after using rklauncher for the first time which was on the first semi working alpha was released i was amazed
as it ran smoother then od everything about it was a lot cleaner..
and with the latest nightly rklauncher completely took over as my dock.

as the latest nightly added the margin hotspot

regardless of what people say your dock is so far the best dock ive used
with all the features your planing so far that i know of it would kick basicly any dock out of the water

i mean people also should know that your dock is still in its early beta stage.. and not final like od is.. and even at its final stage od is still full of strange bugs and isn't as smooth as a dock should be

while its unlike of me to say anything, I'd just like to mention radulking that if you truly feel the success of your work, you will show it in the quality of the work you do. it seems you have already done this.

every program is magnificent, some more than others. some have more quirks than others. but behind every computer program, website and server is at least one man working hard to bring you what you see today. we may not always like them, but they do put hard work into what they do.

I think many people in this thread are misinterpreting Raduking's efforts. Though I certainly can't speak for him I will say this much: I don't think he intends to debunk the effort of other hard-working programmers, rather he seems to be interested in dispelling some of the myths regarding the functionality and features of other docks. This is crucial to the development of his own dock, as many people want functionality that simply isn't feasible (i.e., barely-there memory footprints, supersonic speed, etc.)

Bottom line here folks, Raduking can't meet the requests of users who are under mistaken impressions regarding the functionality of other docks. This misinformation needs to be corrected, so users can gain a realistic impression of what's feasible on their PC, and subsequently make more intelligent requests from Raduking.

Thank you for pointing so clearly.

for me: this is totally unprofessional. i say instead off picking on other docks just try to make urs the best.. no need to comment on others... each dock has its own unique factor...

Dear Sam,

please take the time to read the above 3 posts,

I could give a **** if it does Y'z or OD stuff. I just want a Mac OS dock.

All this whining makes me sick.

To all of you whiners:

SHUT YOUR HOLES!

You're pissing off the developer.

Oh, and he was right about those other docks, so he has every right to diss them.

I dont see any of YOU developing anything, so stop antagonizing Raduking

Raduking:

Keep up the amazing job you're doing.

Try not to read any more requests...ever.

please. developers can do what they want to and express in they way they want. if a developer wanted to, because he's depressed, he can create a theme full of skulls and blood and release it. who cares if he does it or not? if it sucks, don't download it. simple as that. duckie has a good point.

if you don't like evangelion because it's too depressing, then don't watch it. nobody's going to force you.

raduking can comment on other people's stuff you know. apple and microsoft have been SUEING, jeering, and flaming just because of little coping and argueing about who's idea it was. it's a free world. unpopular people won't be lisened to, popular would.

No, let's let Raduking do his work as he sees fit and stop telling him what to add.
