I am asking this because I keep finding more and more people who are using the PocketPC and they want the same functionality as their home PC.

So here's the request:

Could you look into how hard it would be to port this over to Pocket PC?

A few bonuses to porting.

1. You dont have to worry about magnification
2. The API's are easy and Microsoft offers free emulators for download.
3. It can continue to be based on .NET
4. Large user base
5. no need for usual plugins(In fact, Recycle Bin isnt an option on Pocket PC)

Those are but a few.

I'd very much like to have this on my PocketPC and I think after you release the first verion of RK Launcher, this would be a great addition and a nice change of pace for you.

I'd also like to request that it be for VGA devices first and we can port down later.

Thanks

heh i second that :D

the pocket pc could use more aqua emulation apps.. the today screen is made to show tons of info so some aqua-style widgets like weather, drive space, etc. wouldnt be out of place on a PPC.
can u say AvePPC? sigh.. i can only dream :P

No, Kenta, it wouldnt. Especially the newer VGA devices.

My Pocket PC, for instance, has a 16mb 3D video chip, 624mhz processor, and 128mb in ram.

That chart is wrong. The X30 is 400mhz,, not 624

My X50v should be on top

My PocketPC acts like a mac. I even learned how to edit the registry to alter folder names.

And hell, PocketPC has a top aligned menu...just like Finder

i think Raduking should first complete the 1.0 version of RKLauncher for PC and after that think about a pocket pc conversion :)

this could also be a good point ironing out the code and maybe completing a full release would help the conversion and the simplicity of converting the code for pocket pc

On a QVGA device? Wow. Almost seems pointless. But hey, good for you.

I like my X50v. It's amazing.

I find new ways to use it daily.
