I would trust flyakite with my life

.
Seriously, a script like Replacer can also be picked up as a bad script. They mimic the activity of a virus (by removing certain files), but you want these files removed.
Trust me, it's no virus.

Chris' stuff is cool... if anything, it could be your AV prog making assumptions.
If it is infected, I doubt it was distributed from Chris that way.

i dunno what that's about, but i did install flyakite's files and my system completely f****d up. eveything worked well for a day or two and then i had to run system restore to fix it, i didn't mind the first time, but after the next 6 i simply uninstalled it.
oh well, but i don't think its a virus, i use Symatec and it never detected a virus from flyakite, i think it might just be the antivirus

Sorry, but AVG is a squirrily AV at best. It's not a trojan. Unless you infected it with something else. NOD32 says its cool and if NOD says it's cool, you can take it to the bank.

The same thing happened to me this morning, AVG reported those two files in particular. AVG didn't pick it up until after the updates today... hmmm.
I seriously doubt Chris has anything to do with this, I've used his packs for ages, and have never had a problem.
I once had another AV (Avast) report that some fonts installed contained a virus which I seriously doubted, they were installed from the original Adobe Font Folio disk.

AVG doesn't suck, and you prob. are infected with a polymorphic virus, you should do something about it quick.
and no, flyakite isn't anything malicious, I guaratee!

I am confused. F-secure found a trojan today in the flyakite updater
http://www.f-secure....cs/damrai.shtml
after scanning, f-secure also found it in C:WINDOWSFLYAKITEOSXCURRENT USER SETTINGS.EXE & C:WINDOWSFLYAKITEOSXUNINSTALL.EXE.
I would guess it's a false, cause i use flyakite since almost 30 Weeks and had no problems. What really confuses me is the fact, that the trojan has also been found in the FlyakiteOSX v3.0.exe, which is in FlyakiteOSX v3.0.zip.

Well, my version of FAK3.5, downloaded from the official site is virus free. And I use AVG too, but it never found anything. Try redownloading from the official list of mirrors from Chris's website, but try a full system scan first.
