not just themes. he or she will review GUI packs, themes, skins, major icon sets or anything he/she finds interesting. After some thinking i decided to accept 2 GUI reviewers (one for WB and other Msstyes). There might me slight shuffling with the newsposter positions but that is still in the works.

24 hours from now this thread will be closed and potential candidates (along with those who weren`t chosen in this leg) will be informed via PM.

Thank you all who applied :)

Is that exclusive to visual styles, or does that extend to such things as WindowBlinds, AveTunes, Firefox, etc. etc. ?

We would need some equality on the reviews. By any chance can there be a GUI reviewer who only does WB if there are no other who fill in for the rest. If after the selection that is the case it might be a possibility, in the meantime however, the person that applies for GUI Reviewer should be up to reviewing any (and i mean any as in "could be any of them at any given time) GUI related material listed in Unbeliever's post above.

Let me jump onto the bandwagon before it closes...

Age: 17 (soon 18)
More than 50 posts?: Yes
Fluent in English?: Yes
Country of Residence: Singapore (SGT (UTC +8Hrs))
Highest Education: (up to now) (Singapore) Cambridge 'N' Levels
Desired Newsposting Position: GUI Reviewer (msstyles)
Reason: To me, a theme is not just a theme to change the look of your computer, but also a work of art, and an expression of your style and artistic tastes. I also like trying different themes out whenever one is released, to see how everything looks and feel, and whether it is usable.

Those who applied and have not received an email saying no have no need to repost their applications. It's not too much trouble for us to go looking :).

Thanks for the thought, though, gnomexp.

I haven't stated this before, but the newsposter recruiting process has been delayed a bit.

We apologize for the inconvenience. In the meantime, we recommend reading a book, possibly "The Elements of Style." :)

Seriously folks, I don't think anyone will be getting any PMs for another week or so, regardless of whether you were picked or not.

You misquoted me. Now expect to bear the full brunt of my wrath :P

I said PMs. PMS would have been incorrect, as would PM's (it wasn't possessive). Therefore, you add a plural "s." It's similar for years, like "In the late 2000s, GillBates *** was whooped by the famed nightcrawler, who later went on a mad rampage to take over the boards of A-S. From there, he launched his career for president of the United States. He declared Mac OS X the official operating system of the government. Everyone cheered. Yeah."

^^Yeah. Something like that^^
