Hi doods.

I just downloaded konfabie for windows and the installer
hangs when its about 65 % installed. I try quiting the installer
and it gives my a stoopid window saying are u sure you wanna
quite ? so I click yes but it doesnt quit. Then if I click quit
again nothing happens. I finally just have to go to the task
manager and kill it. Has anyone had this problem before ? I
think it might be related to the MSI installer cause I remember
having this problem before with some other softeare that I cant
remember the name of right now.

Maybe close all external apps and try. Worked for me like a charm. Maybe leave it for an hour or so will its installing. If it doesn't finish you know its the installer. Mine worked just fine.

Seems small, but did you double click the .msi file, or right click--> Install it?

Don't know why it would matter, but it's worth a try...

Oh sorry pe8e didnt realize.

I tried rebooting btw and ran the installer before starting any other apps.
Same thing.

is there a process "msiexec.exe." still running in the background after u abort the install? if so, try killing it and retry the installation

try running it in safe mode and see if that works maybe?

I have two copies of msiexec.exe (the msi installer engine isnt it ?) runnning
at the same time. I killed them both and tried again but still the same.
