In GD there are 40 threads on page 1.
13 of those are locked threads.

PLEASE can we have the trash can sub forum back to clean all this crap out so we can only see the threads that are actually making a contribution to the world?

Either that or instead of locking the thread just delete it?

Of course what would be better is if people didn't post pointless stuff in the first place, but for some reason this place just seems to attract morons that have nothing constructive to say <_<

The thing is that those that need to be deleted get deleted. The rest of the locked threads are usually kept as a reminder, an informative reference hoping that the redundancy most of the threads have will yield better search results and thus less of pointless threads.

Further to that, it adds another level of complexity to the already difficult task of managing the forums...

Is a bad topic bad enough to just go to the trash, should it be "properly" deleted, or merely left, closed?

We have a hard enough job sometimes deciding whether to leave topics open or not (although some are obvous), without adding to our decisions...
