When I'm running AveDesk with SysStats 2.5.8 I have a problem with PHD meters.
I'm using WinXP SP2 Russian, so all PHD parameters are in Russian. When I add a desklet (e.g. Aero Laptop) it obviously shows nothing. After correcting meters by Configure option all works perfectly until shutting down AveDesk. On exit (saving?) config file is being corrupted - all the Meters and Overlay sections are cut out.. I tried to rewrite config file manually, inserting corresponding parameters in Meters section (e.g. Counters-0=ProcessorPerformance(Processor_Number_0)Частота процессора) - but when I ran AveDesk with modified configs desklet didn't work. After shutting down AveDesk, I found config corrupted again - but in other way. Now all the meters were present, but the names of parameters were cut out.. (Counters-0= - that's all). The same corruption has taken place when I used original (English) file without any correction.
In SysStats 2.5.3 all works perfectly, no corruptions.. but configs save very slow.
Is the problem in my Windows? May I correct something without installing Euro version?

off his help file i went to your site and downloaded laptop weather lovely work by the way
So im running about 15 shortcuts for the curved bar, avetunes,
and laptop weather everthings running fine.To tell the truth sysstats scares the sh*t out of me evertime i try to tweak a config i end up screwing everthing up
but this time its not my usual ohh feck it ive done it again.i changed the font in laptop weather and realigned it and thats all no problems
Then i downloaded a new avetune skin "imac" (available at deviantart itunes section) i had to restart ave desk to load in the font (same font i had changed laptop weather to)
but ave desk didnt close properly left the icon in the task bar (ghosting) with no control and in processes was still running even thou all desklets had dissapeered so had to end task
on restart shortcuts loaded in curved bar loaded in avetunes loaded in but as laptop weather loaded in i got the lovely window message (avedesk has encountered a problem and needs to close)
i tryed all sorts to solve it but to no avail and ended up having to delette the theme file so ave desk would load (hrs of work gone and now sporting a wicked red line across the forehead from butting the desk)
So with a clean theme i redownloaded syssats and laptop weather and installed them via the aveinst route ( also try via the over write zip route) now avedesk crashes with no message (wonderfull) as soon as i load in laptop weather
ive tryed loading lap top weather into a basic theme with a few short cuts and avetunes (default skin) and again just crashes
i cant understand why laptop weather would work for a day and now crashes all the time what ever i try.
i really love this weather widgit and would hope you could suggest a why to sort it
Running Winpooh's pro service pack2 full updates
athlon XP2600+ 1.917 GHz not clocked
512Mb RAM
nVidea 6200 by Aopen not clocked
peace ARI
edit just been redownloading my fav sysstats config again after total removal of syssats ie everthing related to it in Documents and settings/application data/ avedesk/defaults etc and doing a full fresh install loaded in glossey weather by thewer and i got the same bug as boolathakid has with widescape weather i think you got a prob with 2.5.9 and weather widgets here m8
2nd edit went back to 2.5.8 and it still doing the same thing as above is there some other file i need to remove that avedesk may hold info in that relates to systats ( ps ran a reg cleaner regvac before doing fresh installs)
also weather widgit via avescripter work ok and konfab so the feeds from weather.com are ok
other sysstats configs are ok only weather ones :/
edit 3 nope other configs are doing it now DTP for example try to load a folder via control buttons kills avedesk
hmm just read a few comments about DTP and not many peeps can get it running properly so dont think this is realted to my prob

I have the same problem. I run Windows XP Home Russian and after configuring PDH meters all configs become corrupted. Could anyone suggest what I should do to fix it? Thanks in advance for any help!

One thing you migh try is to install MSXML4 - since that seemed to fix at least one person's problems with an XML-based widget.
I tried to reproduce that person's probs (since it seemed clear-cut) but no, it all just carried on working.

Thank you for your reply, judge!
Unfortunately, installing MSXML 4.0 SP 2 hasn't solved my problem. I use ObjectDock with SysStats 2.5.8 and SysStatsPack1 (for example). I add SysStats to my dock, load system_uptime.ini and go to meters tab to configure CPU. As soon as I hit "Ok" button the config file becomes like this...
[General] author=Judge description=Display CPU, RAM and uptime. You may need to configure the CPU and RAM meters for your PC dversion=1.0 height=128 name=CPU version=200 width=128 x=0 y=0 [control] Controllers-Count=1 [control-0] Args= Key=0 MessageType=513 MeterIndex=-1 Name=Shortcut OverlayPath-Count=0 PassThrough=0 selector= Shortcut=taskmgr StartIn= Type=Shortcut Class [label] format=%s MeterIndex=4 selector= [meter] Meters-Count=5 [meter-0] Counters-0=
CPU meter works and shows CPU usage until I restart OD. After that - only Big Blue Question.
In any case I thank you for your help and for your wonderful program

Especially for logs and displays histories...
I'm modding judge Net Monitor beacause it doesn't work
in the latest version (the History Class was deleted?),
i've developed a solution using a number "n" of fixed meters,
where "n" is the hystory lenght...
Thanks and bye!

using Sysstats 2.5.11 and RKLauncher there appear to be a problem saving a config file whenever local character (ie. east european diactrical mark) is about to be written to the file. the saving process is stoped before that char and the config file becomes corrupted
looks like unicode encoding isn't used ??
another 'feature' seems to be the middle mouse button not working as an event (used in shortcuts section).
Anyhow, it's a brilliant piece of open source software. Hope it makes to release 2.6
cheers

SysStats is not working with ObjectDock 1.90 and Vista x64. (At least not for me, and I saw another documented case on these forums).
When I try to Add Docklet > SysStats, I receive "ObjectDock has encountered a problem and needs to close..."
I'm assuming this is a compatibility bug, and ideas?
edit: I'm going to try rocketdock just to see if it's an OD thing only, but I think it may be x64 related?
edit2: Ok, tried rocketdock, added SysStats docklet, rocketdock crashed with windows popup "RocketDock has closed unexpectedly, windows is trying to find a solution to the problem." I cannot load RocketDock again, I get the same window when I try. So this isn't isolated to OD.

Hi there,
I started receiving the same message as 8jebus8. I eventually managed to find that it was a .dll file in the sysstats parent directory. Not the sysstats.dll file, but another for a config ini file which failed to load.
www.customxp.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6526 - I used Babelfish to translate and then dug around the sysstats folder.
Hope it helps.

I'm also using Russian WinXP and think that problem is in unicode, which is not supported by Sysstats. So it doesn't work in Russian Windows XP, unfortunately.
Hope that will be fixed in future versions. for now we have to use other programs(
Rus: даже не удосужились сделать поддержку уникода, ппц, кто так программы пишет...
апдейт: все решилось установкой английского mui для винды.

in order to get sysstats to work on Vista all you need to do is...
quit rocketdock
go to C\programfiles\rocketdock\
right click on rocketdock.exe
select properties
select compatibility tab
check run as administrator
apply
now extract sysstats to c/programfiles/rocketdock (it should put all files in necessary folders without you doing anything
start rocketdock
right click a space bar
select add item
select sysstats (blue "?" should appear)
right click "?"
select load
find doclet you want to load
select config. folder
select .ini file
and you should be good to go
also sometimes you may need to configure a docklet to get background to show...
this is done by right clicking icon
selecting configure
opening overlay tab
highlighting background
select configure

I have this problem with Vista Home Premium(тоже русской). Config files aren't being save, so all parameters are in Russian.
