The AveApps series started in the beginning of 2004, with AveDesk 1.0. This is, other than the applications that will follow a non-skinnable application and acts as a desktop enhancer.
AvePreview

Released on 14 March, this was the start of the skinnable AveApps series. The purpose of the application is to be a simple Image Previewer that mimics the behaviour of OSX' Preview. Drag-'n-drop, a lots of skins and simple cropping is available.

AveFontBook

AveFontBook is a font management tool that allows the user to preview not-installed fonts without installing them, enabling/disabling fonts and keep them organized in collections. Basically, it's a fully functional OSX' FontBook clone.
First release was on 16 May.

AveForceQuit

This is a little tool that works like the OSX' ForceQuit tool. It allows you to force applications to quit by using a nice skinnable interface. Little functionality, but this was actually a little experiment on making a pulsing button: yeah, the button is pulsing. First release on 31 May.
Current Version: 1.0

AveIconBook

Because of the pressure of a lot of people to make this, I released it on 29 June. Its simply a browsing tool for icons and PNG files. Current experimental version included a spotlight like search.

What's next?
The skinnable AveApps are for the moment finished. Ofcourse the existing ones will be maintained, but no new ones are planned, because of lack of time, lack of inspiration and mainly, AveDesk.
How, what and where?
The skinnable AveApps are build with Delphi 5 using GDI+ as the graphics library. I have plans to turn the skinning technique in some sort of Delphi component, but again, time is against me. If you want to get the source code of one of the skinnable AveApps, just drop me a line.
Distribution
All AveApps - code and final compiled binaries - are owned and copyrighted by me. If you want to distribute one of them, you will need to obtain permission from me to do so. Note that it is very likely that permission will be given.
