I just tested the new iex beta
WOW. simply WOW
question: isn't it possible to cut the 'zoom' routine out of the program and
Produce a program, to
a) produce other 'zoom' effects

integrate it with XP's Windows Zoom in/out functionality
c) integrate it as 'plug in' for Y's Dock or ObjectDock (or helping the programmer of 'Aqua Dock' to 'optimize' 'his' Dock with the effect)
c.1) other effects
c.2) integrate a new interface card with several effects like the few 'jumping' effects in ObjectDock
HM - it *Will* be possible, just a matter of networking, i suppose....

First of all, this thread is in the wrong place. It should go in the Siwu Apps forum.
Second, this is the first beta, so it should not be very featured. It just shows what the capabilities are.
Third, check out the
Expire boards for more info on the app.

Next time please PM member of the staff instead of commenting it here - it's rather pointless

What I get from this is that you're suggesting we take iEx, rip it apart, and re-build it as a genie-effect-type plugin for a dock, with different zoom effects? If this is what you're suggesting, then I doubt it's gonna happen... just given what iEx is trying to emulate, I don't see that in its future.

Actually, it's impossible to do so

Direct3D MUST have its own window (no layering or transparency at all).
