As a fan of moby dock, there are a couple of things id like to see implemented in the new release. But firstly id like to mention that although moby dock is a clone of the true apple dock, I think the nature of it shouldnt be total imitation but rather enhancement... This is why i think that its worthless to degrade the quality of the magnification or have features such as a "genie effect"...

so here are my suggestions...

• enable the dock to read all the icons in the folder so the user wont need to add them manually
  
  
• remove the configure icon in place of a right clickable background for properties.
  
  
• make moving icons easier
  
  
• streching of bar made simpler
  
  
• of course all the additions planned in the next update (bouncing icons/smoke deletion/etc)
  
  
• possible implementation of drawers (ie menu folders)
  
  
• maybe different magnification effects such as single icon enlargement with no other icons affected (yes i know this is kinda implemented..but there is still another icon affected)...and all these effects should be menu choosable...like magnification/single zoom/no zoom/etc
  
  
• agree with directx 9 implementation for speed improvements
  
  
• snapshot updates for webpages...whenever a page in minimized a new snapshot should be taken so that the homepage is not the only snapshot..ya know
  
  
• with the bouncing icon...possibility to detect if messages are recieved in outlook or aim?
  
  
• quick addition button on the config so you can easily add my computer/recyling bin/clock without searching through files
  
  
• clickable icons...that when clicked either slightly darken, blend, or depress into the bg

Thats about all i can think of..additions and critisms should be given... but dont let this get into a y'z vs mobydock thing .... cause that makes the entire thread worthless...
