How to transform Thunderbird 0.5 for Windows in Thunderbird for Mac

THIS TUTORIAL IS INTENDED FOR 0.5 BUILD, but as Magbi9 says it should work also with nightly builds.

After all Mods your thunderbird should look like this one

1.First of all you need Thunderbirdyou can grab it HERE
unzip it and open it.

2. Download grippies from HERE
Open Tunderbird go to tools->Options->extensions
click on Install new extension
Select grippies.xpi
And select OK until you come back to thunderbird

Thunderbird should now look like this

3. OPEN Thunderbird
Download compact menu from HERE
Open Tunderbird go to tools->Options->extensions
click on Install new extension
Select compact_tb.xpi
And select OK until you come back to thunderbird

4.RESTART Thunderbird
Download THE SKIN
Go to tools->Options->Themes
Click on Install new theme
and select pinstripe.jar you have just downloaded
an click ok until your back to thunderbird
RESTART Thunderbird

Now your mail client should look like this:

5. Right click on the toolbar choose customize and put all the buttons like in this image

Click on OK Button

6. Put all toolbar's icons in the upper bar, like in this first example
(Note that you have to put the button where before there were the menu)


If the icons' text disappear click on show and reselect incon adn text after you have selected icons.

7.Click on Menu->view toolbar and uncheck Mail Toolbar

Now your thunderbird should look like this

8.Click on write
Rgiht click on the toolbar
just dragg the buttons on the filemenu stuff, and push the file,edit menus to the edge using spaces.

In this way:

Before reaching the edge, you have to click on view->toolbars and uncheck mail toolbar.

Now your compose window should look like this:
