Since 1.0 doesn't allow drag and drop, no desklet, docklet will let you drag items into the trash. However, I've got it kinda working on my system:
1) Create a desklet (either shortcut or use the RecycleBin desklet)
2) Set desklet to have 1) Locked Position 2) act as a Desktop Icon
3) Create a completely blank/transparent regular windows icon.
4) Make a regular windows shortcut to the real recyclebin.
5) Right-click on the shortcut and change its icon to the transparent icon.
6) Rename the shortcut to the "blank space" using ALT+255 or ALT+0160 (numpad must be used; regular keyboard numbers don't work)
7) Extend the blank space as far as you see fit (mine is actually wrapping to two lines to make a larger target for drag and drop.
8) Position the now-invisible shortcut beneath your Avedesk RecycleBin.
Now, when you drag things over to the Avedesk RecycleBin, it will be as if you are dragging and dropping them onto the shortcut to the recyclebin. No more having to double click to open the trash before dragging things in there!
Sorry if this sounds like a stupid duh-of-course-that's-obvious sort of thing, but I guess probably everyone hasn't tried this? Is there a better method? (Besides getting in on the Avedesk 1.1 beta -- haha)
