Hi everyone,
I have a small problem with the built-in Shortcut Desklet for AveDesk and I hope you can help me. The application EXE file I am linking to (BasiliskII Mac Emulator) obviously needs the working directory handed over to be able to start. As you all know, the working directory can simply be defined in the properties tab when you place a standard Windown shortcut link on the desktop (which would work fine for Basilisk).
Is there a parameter entry I can use for this in the Shortcut/Parameters tab of the AveDesk Shortcut Desklet? What's the syntax I have to use (Link to EXE: "D:\Mac\BasiliskII.exe" - desired working folder: "D:\Mac\")?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards,
Cortilein

The default shortcut desklet is designed in that way that the working directory is automatically taken from the EXE-filename. E.g. if the EXE-filename is
c:\something\awies.exe, than the working directory will be
c:\something . I consider to change this in the next update (1.1).
But, if you need it that badly, don't hesitate to contact me thru mail or MSN and I'll hand you a quick fix.

Hi Andreas,
Danke für die schnelle Antwort!

Then it must be something else, obviously... It is strange, however. The standard Windows link placed on the desktop is working fine, but the shortcut desklet won't - I am experiencing this problem with this particular application only - so far. Basilisk is complaining about not finding the ROM image file when called via the desklet, which resides in the same folder as the EXE.
It's a pity, because I wanted to ban all Windows icons from the desktop completely... har-har
!
Well, I guess I just have to live with it. Thanks anyway!
