Heya all,

I'm here to give you an update about AveDesk 1.1 coding progress. I have been working hard the last 2 months on it and reworked most of its code to speed things up. The application is now faster, less memory-intensive and all known bugs have been fixed.

Ofcourse there will be a bunch of new features like selectionbox, topdown label, an even more extended DeskletSDK and handy things like 'Duplicate Desklet', Full drag-'n-drop support, etc...

The application is now in the beta-stage, all major coding have been done. It will be tested some time to make sure all bugs, glitched and other things that are annoying will be fixed. It's hard to give an indication of times, because team-members do have exams from university, other work, and finally there is a very important quality check.

// image removed, because it's old.

This movie shows you the topdown label style and the selectionbox.
There are 2 versions one from 600kb with more details and a short 100kb version:

Larger Preview Movie

Smaller preview Movie

(DivX 5.03 Codec required)

I hope to have informed all interested people about what's going on with 1.1,
Andreas

Wow!

Firstly I can't believe how impressive the coding is to be running such a tiny memory usage, secondly this app looks so smooth that it could be mistaken for part of the operating system.

Thirdly I love the hover box/Panther inclusion.

AndreasV you the man! :rule:
