Something i REALY would like to, is to give up with ObjectBar because i only use it for the System Tray....
Andreas suggested me to try the KKmenu docklet and the TrayServer... and i can't manage to use it.

Is anybody using it with Avedesk (i hope so) and so what is there configuration??? a special place where they installed KKmenu of somethin???

Thank you

Your supposed to install KKMenu in the root folder of your dock.
For example on my pc it's C:\Program Files\YZ Dock
so kkmenu is C:\Program Files\YZ Dock\KKMenu

hope that was of any help ;)

simple shortcut, path it to your kkmenu.exe (the hole kkmenu-folder can be place anywhere), in the parameters put first the ini for the specific menu and after that (with a space between) the ini with the skin. something like this for example:
KkMenugraphic.ini KkSkinMenuAqua.ini

thatīs it.

just for my interest: where should be the difference to use the docklet instead of the "program"?

what do u mean exactly with "system tray"? what do u want to see?

well... there is a program KKmenu that when you exectute it display the menu like you have.
And there is also a Docklet witch is a port of the program of OD, and in this docklet, a system tray is included (you see the icons from the system tray in your dock)

this is 2 different thing, one is a standalone program, the other is a docklet.

I only have the docklet i had the program but never used it, i don't know if there is a system tray support in it...
Brainbug => you got MSN?? (i have to go but later)

there is no systray support in the kkmenu.exe

and brainbug there is an old ver of the kkmenu docklet floating around the net that is free has a couple of bugs with creating the menu but thats easily fixed by manually editing the ini the kkmenu docklet loads a lot faster then the kkmenu exe

and i think there was a freeware ver of the systray docklet before it was merged with the kkmenu docklet floating around somewhere if you can find it i remember seeing it on wincustomize.com once..

by my side i'm thinking that Jiri, the author of KKmenu has begin KKmenu as a standalone APP (the KKmenu that has Brainbug) and ported it to OD as a docklet. The system tray is something added afterward in a 1.1 version of the KKmenu

The version of the KKmenu is wuite confusing because the lastest version of the STANDALONE KKmenu is 2.8 (the lastest i have) and the lastest DOCKLET is 1.1 so...

maybe if Jiri is still taking a look on AS he can enlight us :)

ya the original kkmenu(the exe ver) was created before OD was able to use docklets...
due the having to load the images and menu everytime it was executed caused the slow down.. which i experience when using it with y'z dock...

once OD was able to support docklets it was then converted to a docklet to increase the speed of the menu... and the systray was also added..

but before the systray was added there was the systray docklet floating on wincustomize. for a short time.. once the systray docklet was merged into kkmenu the systray docklet was taken off.

what do you want to use??? KKmenu or SystemTray??

KKmenu => you'll need to have the EXE version of the KKmenu with a shortcut on your desktop to it (using a simple shortcut or avedesk shortcut desklet)

System Tray => not possible :'( bouhouuuuuuuu

The shortcut does have a "Parameters" field. Parameters equals Arguments in this case...

If you are talking about winXP shortcuts, dude ;), you can add the parameters behind the shortcut.

For example, my shortcut is
D:\delphi\Delphi5\Projects\searchxp\PROJECT1.EXE
I can do
D:\delphi\Delphi5\Projects\searchxp\PROJECT1.EXE -parameters
.

i made a shortcut like this on my desktop

"C:\program files\ObjectDock\MenuOfficeMicrosoft\KkMenu.exe -HDs.ini KkSkinMenuAqua.ini "

and it says an error !! :S ...... well i guess it is not possible ....

where : HDs.ini KkSkinMenuAqua.ini are the arguments kkmenu needs ...
