Is there something I need to do to get Mountchecker (or Powdermount) to work with a Zip Drive? :give up:

I did that.....

I know how to set it up... I did it for my DVD & CD/RW drives.
Both of them work.

When I set up the Zip it acts like a shorcut, except for the label.
The icon never disappears on eject, but the label changes to whatever disk is in the drive. (if it has a label)

Hi guys, I know that there is this problem and I think that is possible to resolve it.
I'm sure that the function used to check the drives, works fine with CD or optical drives, but it seems that have some problems on some kind of removable storage (hd, zip, jaz ditto, backup...). So I'll talk of this with Andreas to try to fix it on the new version of AveDesk (Amazing lol!).

Sorry for this issue.

Bye,
Marco

For Marco:

GetVolumeInformation() Remarks:
If you are attempting to obtain information about a floppy drive that does not have a floppy disk or a CD-ROM drive that does not have a compact disc, the system displays a message box asking the user to insert a floppy disk or a compact disc, respectively. To prevent the system from displaying this message box, call the SetErrorMode function with SEM_FAILCRITICALERRORS.
