Hi guys ! I have great news today :)

My project has been accepted yesterday (monday).

iEx gets a brand new name: expire.

We thought that it would be more "smooth" ;)

And here are the specs from the paper I presented:

Quote

and in english:

Quote

- plugin system (animations, effects, organisation, ...)
- SDK release in order to create your own plugins
- use of the Direct3D API for an infinity of animations (from moving objects to pixel shading)
- max optimisation (assembly) for the prog to remain very usable even of "old" machines
- make a website and buy a domain name OR begin a sourceforge project

And, if it's possible, those options could be integrated:
- make the OpenGL plugin for the graphic engine
- Unix port
- make the video or 3D windows play while in expose mode using advanced hooking techniques (DirectX only then Unix maybe)

It is good to note that the graphic engine will be made on plugins too. In fact, plugins allow us better possibilities of extension (for exemple a Direct3D and OpenGL plugin for the same graphic engine).

here you are !

Hope you'll appreciate those specs ;)

also, plugins will be made with the releases, to have different animations, organisation etc... :)

feel free to post your comments/suggestions :)

have a nice day (night?)

siwu

continue, felicitations etc etc ... :)

alo,
i don't mean to sound like the community buffoon, but what does this program do? i think it came out before i joined and i keep seeing posts talking about updates and news about it, but nary a screenshot or a description. can someone just provide me with a little blurb about it? or let me know if there's an original thread that has a description?
thanks much

How is this now cool enough?! He has to finish the project. Not that I doubt you, siwu, but this is a huge project that lots of programmers probably wouldnt finish(ie: myself).
