Release notes:

This app is similar to iReflector but with less options.

It shows a dropbox where you can drop png files and it will mirror them and save them with a different name (somepicture.png -> somepicture_mirror.png)

If you want a more customizable icon reflector app, try SirSmiley's iReflector: it lets you choose where to put the reflection, and his app is skinnable.

The only thing missing in iReflector is the shadow. In effect, M! Reflect Icons has been written to closely match Leopard reflected and littly shadowed dock icons, to be easy and quick to use, sacrificing customizability on the way.

Bonus: you can drop many files into the dropbox, it will process all of them, so you can mirror thousand of icons at once.

In an attempt to create a system tray battery icon that resembles the Mac OS X one, this is what I've come up with. Until now, I don't really think that anyone has created one thats close to the Mac system tray icons, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Truthfully, I'm somewhat not satisfied with what I've created so I've decided to release a beta to take suggestions as to what to improve and how to do it. The main thing that I am going for with these icons is curvature. I want to give them the slight more 3D look of their OS X counterparts, but it's kind of difficult with Windows.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think, and please critisize!!

To install: first, backup your batmeter.dll in C:WINDOWSsystem32 and then download the zip folder attachment and replace the .dll in there with the one in system32. Upon restart, the new icons should be visible.

Ipb3 Version

Just a heads up, letting you guys know whats going on with the IPB3 version.

Since IPB3 final has been released, I have started working on the skin. Problem is there will be a slight delay with release till they release the subscription manager; which is preventing me from upgrading the site here.

But it is coming! Hopefully we don't have to wait too long.

Please, ask your questions and problems with XWDock 2.0.0.0 here.

Some information about "how to":

1. Hold on the separator and move mouse to resize the dock, or hold on Shift to move the dock to another edge of the screen
2. Click on icon to run an application or activate the old one, or hold on Ctrl to run the copy of the application
3. Use drag&drop as much as possible. Drop icon (.png, .ico...) on any of dock's icons to setup a new one. Or drop any file onto dock's icons to run, open, copy and move it inside.
4. Now, when you drop Recycler Bin, empty it to setup an icon for the empty state, and fill in it to the full state.
5. Place your OD Docklets to Docklets\ folder, XWD 2.0 Plugins into Plugins\ one.

Mfplat.dll Error

Hi there!

I'm running Xwindows dock on W7 Ultimate N and had a bad issue with the dock v.2.0.3.0
When I click on the container from the plugin manager window I am able to ad the container to the dock, but when I click on it windows tells me that a file called MFPlat.dll is missing from my notebook and the animation of the container crashes.

I googled a bit on this file called MFPlat.dll and found that this file is missing on 'N' versions of w7. This file is normally brought in the pc when Windows media player and windows media center are regulary installed. On a topic of microsoft's site there is a users that says that the MFPlat.dll can be replaced by installing the Media Feature Pack. (---> only for genuine copies of w7...).

Was this issue a problem for other users of the Xwindows dock?

Windows 7 Explorer -- How Do I Turn This Off

Hi,

I installed the mactheme for Windows7. The MacTheme was obtained from Windows7Themes.net . They suggest obtaining XWindowsDock. So I had this installed.

Question :
a) I see the dock in addition to the Windows 7 Quick Launch Bar. Is there some setting that automatically only shows me the XWindowsDock bar and disables the Windows 7 Quick Launch Bar ?
WHat is the recommendation for the Windows 7 icons on my Desktop ? Should I move them to the XWindowsDock ? Is there a setting that does this automatically ?

Warning: this is a pre-beta release. It may contain missing options / missing features / errors / memory leaks / etc... Bug reports will be taken into account as long as they aren't RocketDock/RkLauncher/bad-shortcut-overlay-removal bugs. Feature requests will be silently ignored until beta release.

You have two alternatives:

Automated installer will download last version and do all the hard work.
Download .rar file for manual installation (current version: 2009-04-02)

Stuff:

- If you use AveDesk or whatever and can't access settings, now you can Alt+click the docklet to access settings.

- Doesn't crash when clicking an image now (maybe solves problem with crashing shortcuts and other crashing stuff too, I wasn't able to reproduce them because those worked right here).

- I'm now handling icons a bit different, they may not work with your icons. If this is the case, please PM those icons to me so I can test them. If they are inside an executable or .dll use Resource Hacker. If you dunno how to extract the icon or where is it, just post a screenshot of it (both how it looks in your Explorer and how it looks in stack).

- ~~No reflective mode yet, please wait until Advanced options are implemented~~ (done)

New* Xwindows Dock Crippling Memory Bug (50% Cpu Usage) Temporary Solution Found!)

Before I begin, I must say that this Dock is Legendary, the only reason why I have been able to endure this Bug is because This is the Greatest Dock I have ever used no doubt/

I am Madly In love with this Dock, even though I am running out of options, I respect the author too much to alter it for my own Good

switching to another dock would always make me feel like something is missing.

Type:

This is permanent bug, there is no On or Off switch, it will still eat CPU even after restart.

How was the Bug Formed?

This Bug Forms when I copy or Delete Huge amounts of Data (2Gs+),

Info: XWD v5.6+

Before: the dock was very efficient, 0% CPU Used on Idle, 10-20% Cpu when magnified
After: 39-50% CPU on Idle, and 50% CPu usage on magnify, meaning the memory is bugged

Solution: I've found a solution, but its a very inefficient and time consuming solution:

I have Created a new Windows user account and Opened XWD
within that user, and everything was working fine, the dock did not lag and used 0% CPU on idle.
meaning that this Bug is Appdata Related, Hkey Current User related, or mainly user related.

Other than Creating a new user account each time the bug occurs, I've been trouble shooting the cause:

I started the PC normally and opened XWD, and ended all application & 3rd party Processes leaving XWD running by itself along with

Important Windows Process like Svchost, Client Runtime, and Host Processes

I even ended Desktop Windows Manager, Explorer.exe and Search indexer in hopes of finding the True culprit with no luck

Next I used Advanced System Care to Run a full Scan on my Registry: 0 Problems Found!
I also did Defragment and found numerous problems but Defragment did not solve my issue

then I used Spyware Doctor to make sure that the Culprit wasn't some sort of Virus

The Only System Files that are altered are:

Imageres.dll
authui.dll
explorer.exe
explorerframe.exe

however this problem Occurred long before I began to Theme My Computer

The Only thing I can think of now is Running ComboFix.exe which has fixed many things for me in the past but its a risky Operation and is not worth it if it doesn't end up working.

Or Buying a computer with 8 Cores to make this Cpu bug insignificant...

I'm Positive that the Culprit is NOT XWindows Dock.exe, as the same file worked fine in another user.

Please Help Me Bring Justice to this Culprit!
